My 2000 Owner's manual called for the synthetic 75W140 with one bottle of friction modifier. I had no problems using this. I used the same after I changed gears as well.

Most parts houses will have 75W-140 with friction modifier already in it. Look for the bottle that says "SPECIFICALLY FORMULATED FOR LIMITED SLIP". That is the stuff you buy and you don't have to add anything to it.

max...saw your post or coastal conservation association membership for 500 dollar rebate. Could you please provide me with a link. Tried to email you but to have email disabled. I have ordered a truck and trying to get all the rebates I can. Already did the aqha.

Thanks,

Brian

racerf150man-

Yes, there are multiple lubes offered in this weight. Some include the additive, others don't.

max....still don't see a link where it says $500 rebate. Is it just for purchasing vehicles in Texas or all states?

Thanks,

Brian

If you scroll down near the bottom of the page on the first link, it mentions this: "If you have been an active member of CCA Texas as of December 11, 2004, effective January 11, 2005 thru March 31, 2005, you are eligible for a $500 Cash Bonus, on All New 2004/05Model F-Series LD & Super Crew, Model F250 Super Duty (excluding Harley Davidson) and Model F350 Super Duty purchased or leased during this program."

These CCA rebates expire and are reissued all the time. This particular one is for Texas chapter CCA members purchasing from Texas Ford Dealers. The national CCA also cooperates with Ford for these rebates. Their contact information is on the second link that I gave you: Contact CCA

By Mail

6919 Portwest, Suite 100
Houston, Texas 77024

By Telephone

(713) 626-4234 or toll free (800) 201-FISH

By E-Mail

ccantl@joincca.org

You will have to contact them and ask about current rebates. Most importantly, go to your dealership, get a VIN number off a similar model to yours off the lot, and ask them to run a VINCENT report on it. This will show the current available discount programs. This is what I've done to get the discount several times.
