Thanks again Max. I am also considering the Troyer SuperChip. I do alot of towing nothing too heavy ( 2 up sleds, and yard wast mostly) usually nothing over 1500lbs. Do you guys feel the chip is a worthy investment. Already did the AFE intake, and performance dual exhaust. driving 34" rubber with 3" body lift.

No problem-o ! Yes, the chip/tuner is the #1 mod for HP per $$$. The transmission feel alone is worth the money. It's perfect for towing.

Thats what I think too Max,
I was chatten with my local off road shop, they sugessted 488 instead of 410 gears, with my tire size he said 410's wont make much dif. He starts work next monday (11/8) Whats your opinion

4.88 seems pretty damn big. I'd go 4.56 at the most. 4.11 would be more economical.

yea Renty, I've been thinking the same thing. @ $2&up a gallon, plus the will to burn tires, I think 488's will be over doing it.

stick with 4.56 unless you plan on getting 38" tires in the futer, with 4.88 i am about 200 rpm higher then with stock tires and 3.73

The tires are tall, but I agree that 4.56 is enough. You don't really want to tach much higher than that if you do much highway driving.

Right on Guys, 4.88 are a bit much. I asked Bill Bob, (the truck shop) his thoughts on bigger dif covers for more lube. His opinion was that the larger case has a tendency to foam, thus exiting out the over flow. Right or Wrong??

I had the Mag-Hytec cover on my 2000 9.75" for 4 years. It has increased capacity and I had no foaming or ventilation issues whatsoever.

BigTruck311...how ya doin? Haven't talked to you in awhile.

If I go with 35's will 4.56's put me back to about stock? I have 3.73's now on 265/70 17's...stock FX4

I'm thinking of going with 4.56's anyway just for the quickness, but I don't want to be taching 3000 at 60 mph..or whatever it would be.

wasup sniper? 4.56 will put you at about 150 rpm more than what you are at now, that is at 65 mph with overdrive on, with 35" tire 4.56 is perfect for our trucks, you gain some power and your spedo will only be off a few mph, hope this helps bro

I think that I have asked you about this before, but I don't remember what you said so I'll ask you again....Do you think the e-fans from Troyer are worth the money? Mike explained to me, what exactly they do and how much power they free up, but I just wanted to know from somebody who actually has them and has no interest in selling them. I trust Mike and all, I'm just wondering about the 300 bones I gotta throw down for them...
