Help

New starter and tranny cable tube (?) installed this week. Truck run beautifully - all of a sudden, dead. No sound with key. A gentle whirring. thats it. Any ideas?
I don't even know where to post this question.

The whirring sound is your starter. It sounds like the bendix gear is not engaging the flywheel ring gear. My guess is that your starter needs to be shimmed so that the gears line up. I ran into the same problem on my Ranger after I did the clutch. I ended up having to file down some of the shim plate between the bellhousing and block. You can look into maybe doing that (last resort) or go and get a shim kit for your starter which is what I'd reccommend doing.
