gear ratio?

gear ratio?

How do i find what gear ratio i have in my 2001 F150 S-cab? would the vin number tell me? Or is this stamped somewhere on the truck? thanks for any info!

There is an axle code on the driver's side door jamb sticker. Post the code or search it here. The actual ratio is also on a tag under one of the differential cover bolts. On the 2 rows of information, it's the first numbers on the second row and may include an "L" if equipped with a LS.

19 is a 3.55 ratio with an open (not a limited slip).
