Every thing I have read about ring and pinion swaps have been about the rear diff. Has anyone with a 4*4 swaped out their front gears? Was it any worse that doing the back? I know that the front diff comes apart in the middle, not with a cover like the rear. I would like to do this myself as to save a lot of money. can any one help?

when i did my front gears i was also doing my lift so i just pulled the whole front axle off the vehicle to work on it i have an 8.8 reverse cut front, it is allittle more difficult then the rear, but not by much, it came into specs eazy heel and toe and the backlash, if you have all the right tools then it is an eazy job
