transfer drain time
i am draining and filling my transfer and was cereus if i could use the mecon 3 i have left over from my jeeps tranny to fill my transfer it takes ATF mercon 3 says it meets or exeeds the specs for ATF, anyone know if that is ok?

Your transfer case calls for straight Mercon or Mercon IV it is cheap $2-$3 a quart at most auto parts stores. I don't know what the difference is between Mercon III and Mercon IV is, but for less than $10 you wouldn't have to worry about it.
