Low speed rearend noise

2002, F150 Supercrew, approx. 17,000 miles. Noticed lately at low speeds a sort of whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop noise coming from what appears to be the rear end of the truck. Kind of sounds like the noise you get when you have a tread seperating on a tire. Tires look okay and have done the jack up spin tire visual just to make sure the tread pattern wasn't weaving. Haven't taken it to the dealer yet. Just trying to get a feel for what the problem may be.

You could start by rotating your tires and see if the noise changes location.

Thanks Max,

Good point. I'll give it a try.

Mine does that too I have the general grabber tires ( they suck) 2002 screw about 26000 on it now but noise started about 10,000 ago, the outside tread has slight cupping that tends to be louder while slowing down.....that may be what yours is doing also.....just waiting till they wear out to get some bridgestone duelers ( getting around 55,000 out of the sets on my other truck no noise either)
