Exclamation Rear End Tremor READ!!!!!!!!!

I had my rear differential recently repaired at the dealer for stuttering at start and in a turn. BAsically they replaced the clutch paks and it solved the problem. After to talking to a my Ford service writer he explained that it a common problem in explorers and Expeditions and that there is a repair kit for them. He never experienced the problem in a f150 and didnt know if a kit was available for it. If you press the dealer enough you can get the clutch paks replaced if it still is under warrany. Hope this helps!!

Man, wish I had come to this forum earlier, of corse I did not know what was wrong with my truck. I just had this same problem in my 2001 SCrew with 112K miles on it. Dealer said it appeared to have water inside and needed to be serviced. $117 later and the problem is gone.

There is a technical service bulletin on this. It does cover F150''s. I got a copy of it from the dealer. I think it is in NC and I am in WI. I published the content of it on this site a couple of months ago.

Can you post a link to the service bulletin or tell me where to find it or what the number of the bulletin was?? They did not fix the problem and I have to take it back tomorrow.

I searched under 2001 F150 and did not find the service bulletin.
