Unhappy 2001 SC Highway vibration

2001 SuperCab, 4.6, 2WD, 5spd Manual. Any ideas here???

I experience an occasional vibration at highway speeds. Anywhere between 55-80 mph. The vibration will go on for a few minutes then gradually diminish. I am not sure where the origin is(front, back) and thought is was old tires (feels like a wheel is out of balance) Well, I'm sporting new treads now and the vibration still makes an appearance once every couple of weeks. Seems when I pull off the road into an exit and return to driving, the symptom disappears. Pushing the clutch in and coasting does not make a difference. I have read some of the threads on aluminum driveshaft being out of balance and rear-end issues. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks,

Herf
