Anybody?

Anybody know what transfer case we are running(99 f-150 4.2, manual)? Borg warner ...... ? I dont know the number. I am looking into getting a custom doubler made, but I wanna do a little investigating first. I sure would like to have 2.62 low 2wd, and ~5:1 4wd low range option instead of the stock 2.62:1. All I need is a model number, or someplace to find out. Thanks...

They are Borg Warners..........I'm thinkin maybe a 1356 case. I'm not completely sure but that number sticks in my head. I can't check my chiltons manual since I'm 2000 mi from it.

Hey Phill, how's it going?

Your t-case is a Borg-Warner 44-06 , with a 2.64 low range. They came in two versions, electric shift and manual shift. Basically the same transfer case with different shift controls.

I haven't seen/heard of anybody making a doubler with these cases yet but you could be the first.

Nice pic, looks like Mclean Creek?

Yep, its mcleans.. you from calgary? I actually know a guy who is into designing and making doublers for anything, and I have a almost new 231 hd from a 2001 dodge sitting in my garage, it wouldnt be a huge deal to just take the low range part (planitaries s/p?) and make them go infront of my stock t-case with a custom shaft machined to adapt them. then just shorten the rear drive shaft and lengthen the front. We will see, this is more of a maybe, if everythings works out , kinda thing.

Yeah, a Calgarian here.

I'm a friend of maritime mudder. The doubler sounds cool, post back about how it turns out when done. If you want more info/specs about you t-case, let me know and I'll see what I can find.
