Question gear change

hey all I have a 1993 shortbed reg cab f150 with a slightly modded 302 (.30 over and a bigger cam) my question is what gears should I run with 35's, I was thinking 4.10 any info would greatly help.

With 35's (which I am going with soon), I understand you should go with 4.30's or even 4.56's. Esp. with the 302 that you have, would let the engine rev a bit better. Others will probably say that 4.11's are fine, which in many cases they probablyl are. Just depends how you intend to use your truck I guess.

I would highly recommend you get atleast the 4:56 gears with 35" tires....

I have 4:56's with 32" tires, and i'm not exactly thrilled.....

rear gone

Well I finally blew the rear end out ( but man I spanked that brand new CHEVY across the intersection with 35's smoking and all lol ) and now I have to replace the gears. I went with the 4:56 gears and an eaton locker, I went ahead a got gears for front and rear and hopefully later today I will get the truck on the road. Thanks to everyone for all the information. Also got a new edlebrock intake coming for it, hopefully I will get a little more power. Does anyone know what chip I should use to reset my speedo???
