I reciently got 4.56 gears installed and a fabtech 7 inch lift installed in my 2003 reg cab V6 short bed. Now I get a humming noise at about 40 to 10 miles an hour. The noise only occurs when i am OFF the gas. At the worst, could i wait a week for it to be fixed?

 

Take it back to the installer or at least contact him asap, gears in an 8.8 should be dead silent. If you develope a wear pattern on them he may not be able to fix.

 

Any one else have an opinion?
