Question Correct axle designation?

I know the rear axle for trucks with the V6 and 4.6 liter Triton V8 is a Ford 8.8". I once saw on this site that the rear axle for the 5.4 liter Triton equipped trucks was called a Sterling 9.75" - is that correct? I think I have seen since that time a posting of 9.25".

Thanks
