Question Rattles

I have two F150 Supercabs, a 97 auto & a 98 5 speed. Both have rattles underneath. Is this pretty much normal. I did find a loose heat sheild, but the rattles persist. Anyone have similar problems & find the culprit? The std trans is prevalent when under a low rpm load.

There is more under there than the heat shield that can rattle. I found some sort of (for lack of a better term to call it) splatter guard that surrounds part of the 4 WD driveshaft.

I just started wiggling, fiddling and tapping around under there until I found something that rattles...then I tightened it up.

Now get back under there and start messing around with things!!
