Post Radio won't power up...

Hi folks any body else have this problem:
My '97 Lariat's factory AM/FM/CASS/CD changer doesn't always come on when I start the truck. About 75% of the time it is blank (no display, no sound). Turning it off and then on again usually works but not all the functions work. I don't need to tell you how annoying this is and it's too Cold here in Alberta to swap it out. Any ideas???
Bruce

Check for a "loose fuse" under the steering column.
It is Fuse #8 on my Super Duty... Don't know which one on a 150.

I had the same thing happen to me after my CB was installed. The installer just jammed the bare wire to power the CB under the radio fuse. It worked loose and the radio quit.
