You can also go to www.car-part.com and look for the rear end for your truck. It will give you a tag code to match up to your original. You have an 8.8 inch rear end with 3.55 gears.

i have a 2002 f150 4x4 my axle code is 27 which according to a link i got from the above mentioned link i have a 331 non limited slip but it lists that for f250s. now i know they stopped making non super duty style f250s but did they make 3/4 ton 150s and does it look like i have one?

If you have an 8.8 then you have a run of the mill F150. All the F250LD and F150 7700lb got the 10.25 which is a 7 lug pattern, where the 8.8 is a 5 lug pattern. The F250LD made in 97/98 is the same truck as the 99+ F150 7700lb, just different badging.
