Question Gas mileage with 4:56 gears?

I'm in the middle of lifting my 98 F150 4x4 4.6 and was considering 35 inch tires to go along with the Fabtech 6 lift kit. Was wondering what my gas mileage would be along with my cruiseing and higway rpms will be compared to me speedometer? Any help here? Also what size back spacing on a rim to use and how wide of a rim? Any info will be appreciated! And so will some pics if you guys have any?

back spacing 4.5

he mine 2002 4x4 5.4L. I to have 6"fabtech my rim are 16x10 with back spacing 4.5 I know fabtech recomends 16x8 but they're to narrow for me. 16x10 perfect also have procomp M/T tire 315/75/16. alittle road noise at first but when they wear in they quiet down. barely hear it. rpm with 3.55 at 70 around 1900 actual i'm running around 79. gas mileage it around 10 to 12 in city. regearing soon. performance loss was minimal well i have 5.4L. you having 4.6L your performance loss will be more. regearing will fix it. hope this help good luck on your mod.

Consider 4:10's or 4:30's. For tires up to 32 inch I recommend 4:10 gears. Thats after living with 4:30s for almost a year now. 4:10s or 4:30s will work well with 35 inch tires.
4:56 gears are very tall and will require some other mods to the 8.8 rear.

What other mods? You mean like clutch packs and what not? Yeah if so they will get checked out before the install anyway! But my truck only has 32000 miles on it!

I'm not an expert with rears. It has something to do with the spacing because the larger gears are thick as is the pinion. Something in the carrier spacing has to be changed.

gears

I'm going with 4:56 superior gears. I've already have limited slip diffs. gear changes only. i also order superchip tuner from mike to change my shift points and speedo.
