fuel gauges,troubleshoting

i have 1988 ford f 150 and my fuel gagues 1 reads empty and 1 reads full at all times. haved replaced switch in dash and fuel gauge. checked all wires found problems .it has duel tanks.can any whone help.

You have two bad fuel sending units.

The front sender has a brass float-that won't float.
The rear sender has an open circuit-That's why it reads " full".
