Window control switch

I am looking for ideas on how to modify the driver side window control switch. My son has an e series van equipped with hand controls due to limited use of his fingers as a result of an accident. The issue is he cannot use the rocker controls on the window switch. Any ideas on how i modify it for him? Can i drill into the top of the switch and attach a dowel pin or a screw that might enable him to rock the switch back and forth? Any suggestions.

Maybe a small piece of industrial velcro adhered to each side of the rocker, then you could use the other side of the velcro on a raised piece of wood or plastic that would enable him to use his palm or even wrist to push down on it. Using velcro would enable you to scrape it off and return it to stock at resale time.
