I need to replace the rear tank support strap frame bracket on my DD. 2004 Ranger. I've hunted all over and can't find what I need. Tried all the usual, Rock Auto, Advance, Auto Zoned, and zero luck. I'm desperate now.

 

What exactly are you looking for? I pursued fordpart.com briefly, and all I saw listed for the fuel tank were the straps, skid plate and heat shield. I'd suggest trying at the dealership or salvage yard.

 

Thanks for the reply, I didn't realize 'til now anyone replied.
I got with the parts guy at my dealer, and we "think" we found what I need, it's called a gusset of all things.
It's the part where the strap is inserted in on the frame rail. The original is riveted on with two rivets.

 

Yep, got the right part. Ford calls it a gusset. Anyway, here's a couple photos that show the SN. This was New Old Stock, package even said "vintage parts" LOL
