Considering used Sport Trac; need opinions
I'm considering a used Sport Trac for my next vehicle so I'd really like opinions. Anything (or any year) to avoid? Any desirable options? Suggested upgrades? Aftermarker parts/accessory availability? Reliability, Etc.

Depends on what you're going to do with it....
06-10 cannot be lifted without overhauling the under carraige.....the cv axels run through the frame....
IMO.....look for the 09-10 4.6 3v, to avoid the broken spark plug issue like the 5.4 3v has...the 4.6 v8 also has more power and gets better mileage than the v6....
If you do want to lift it look for one pre 05 with the v8......
Not a lot of problems were reported for the 09-10 years....
I luv my STA......

Uses will be general transportation, hunting, and odd things around my parent's farm. Definitely want 4wd. Would like to have a limited slip/locking rear end and a towing package. Pre05 with a V8 sounds very good. Slightly larger tires would be nice but I'm not sure about gearing options.
