Mustang to Escape

Well the time has come. The wife said good bye to her 07 Mustang this past weekend. Gas prices finally got to her, and the 2 speeding tickets in the past 2 mths don't help either, and she is starting to think of the future. I think we all know what that means! Anyways we went with a slightly used 2012 Escape with 6K miles on it. We wanted the limited, but couldn't pass up the deal we got on this one. It's the XLT model with the sun and sync package. It has the 2.5 liter 4 cylinder motor. And I think the gas gauge is broke, bc it's not moving at all , j/k it's moving just VERY slowly. Pics below.

I had an '05 V6 Escape. It was OK but I ended up ditching it for my '05 f150. Overall, I didn't have any major problems that were due to build quality. Good luck with it. Personally, I would have bought an '11 v6 Mustang. 300hp and 30mpg is kinda nice, but given your hints at the future, she probably made the right choice.

We have a 2010 Escape Limited V6, how's the power on the I4? The V6 scoots really nicely, little tire burner.

Yea, but having a high performance vehicle makes it harder to resist such temptation.

Pat- the I4 actually isn't that bad I had no trouble getting on the highway, and keeping up with traffic. My wife of course feels the difference in acceleration based on her old mustang, but she also said it surprised her being a I4. And yes when you own a Mustang or any other type of sports car I would say it's way easier to get caught speeding.
