does anybody know where i can locate the 5 digit security code for this model?

Ask the dealership parts department where it is. They wont tell you exactly where it is, general direction where it is. On the explorer i had it was behind a storage panel on drivers side in the cargo area. not at the panel, had to look foward to see it. flashlight helped.

i have taken the FEM (front electronic module) out, what a PITA that was. it was mounted to another bracket, got both pieces out, seperated them, no code. now, back to the drawing board.........

well the RKE (remote keyless module) looks even harder to get to. Behind the radio to the left of the glove box

i don't know, maybe go thru the glove box area. looks like it's closer to that side. why couldn't they put the code under the hood somewhere, man!!!!

You should be able to find the number with out having to take anything apart. Even on my present truck or any of the p/u's or like i said the explorer i had didnt have to take anything apart to find it.

ill agree that the number is prolly on that remote box thing.
