F150 Supercab changes
Hi all, I am new to this board, so please forgive me if this is posted in the wrong place. I currently own a '00 Toyota Tundra but due to some... frustrations, I am thinking about dumping it and getting a new F150 Supercab. My first question is does anyone know when or even if Ford is planning on making any major body changes? I wouldn't want to purchase a new one now and find out that a whole new truck is coming out next year.
Thanks for the help!

I've heard that 2003 models will have a little sheetmetal work done on the front end. Besides that, nothing real different.

blueovalnews.com has the product summary sheet on the 2003's...it is more than just a new front...slight engine changes...lots of new sheetmetal...take a look (change the '31' to 32,33,34,35,36' to see the rest

Popular Mechanics has some spy photos of the new 2003 Expy's. This is probably a good indication of the 2003 F-150's (possible 2004).
What we know:
new sheetmetal
5.4 revised to 3 valve
4.5 TDI available
plastic composite bed on s/box and long box (currently avail on Super Crew)
new 5 speed auto
new 5 speed manual
supercharged Harley
revised Lightning motor (possibly 4 valve from Navigator)
4.2 and 4.6 are not expected to change much, but expect 4.6 and 4.2 to go to 3 valve in 2004 or 2005 (thats if they they dont go back to an inline 6 which is rumoured)
also a new Ranger for 2004 that will be mid-size with V-8 (same size as Dakota)
Expect same frame and underpinings.
Also the obligatory new dash and seating
I wouldnt be surprised to see independent rear suspension avalaible as an option.
Basically, dont buy a 2002 as 2003 is the major sheetmetal update.
