Saw this at the Dealer last night... Ford Transit

Saw this at the dealer last night... Ford Transit... pretty stripped but I can see a purpose for it... just don't know how hot of a seller it will be.

I admit its a little ugly but if you own a business take a look at the videos of this truck on the Ford site and it will change your mind with what you can do with this. Look at the videos of the people that own a business and talk about it on the Ford site

Tons of them running around here already. Seems cheaper and more reliable than the larger Dodge Sprinter.

Made in Turkey. But a great thing for a small business and with all the ford workconnect stuff, these should sell pretty well.

The Transit is starting to show up here.
They seem in concept to be very useful for urban / small delivery / service type businesses. I can see these things being used by florists, plumbers, HVAC guys, etc.... And in about 5 years or so when they start hitting the used market on the cheap, high school kids making ******* trucks out of them...

After looking at them, I could see how they could be just the ticket for businesses that need room to carry stuff in an enclosed space, but don't necessarily need a big, gas-guzzling E-series van.

They have a surprisingly low MSRP, appear to deliver pretty good gas mileage, but are also VERY utilitarian in nature. Great access to the cargo area from sliding side doors on both sides of the vehicle as well as the swing-open rear doors.

These are very popular in England and have been for decades. To the point that instead of saying you need to get a van, they just say that you need to get a Transit. They call it by brand name its so popular, it has its own category of vehicle.

The transit has been selling in Mexico since 3 years ago. It has aldo a passenger version. I think is a very nice and european concept.

There are diesel versions available.

I can attest to that, my gf's dad has a Sprinter and that thing has been in the shop almost constantly since he got it!

The Canadian Post Office has just ordered 1,1750 of the Transits. That's a good sign for Ford.
