OK with 4500 cash 4 clunkers and 4000 off from ford as a rebate plus 750 off for loyalty from ford i got 8650 off the tag of a ranger so that left me owing a mear 9723 for a brand new truck and ill pay it off in December but the 2.3 l4 is a dog dose any one know how to get this thing more power? doing a CAI and Exhaust do they make a chip or tuner? did i get the only truck out there that cant be modded? thank all hope some one reeds this section

Hey -- that 2.3 Duratec they put in them now is a screamer compared to the 2.3 Lima that's in my '97 model!

I purchased a 2009 Ranger as well back in July and went with the 4.0 V6 engine this time -- it's such a pleasure to drive a truck with at least a little "grunt" to it after so many years of wheezing around in my 4-banger.....

 

yeah, the 4.0 sohc is a sweet motor. i miss my 2002 that i traded in last year
