Red face I went crazy tonight!

So tonight, everyone I know pretty much had to work tonight, so I couldn't really make any plans until late tonight which I didn't really want to do, so I took it opon myself to go for a nice little drive to get me out of the house for a little bit.

That little drive turned out to be a big big big deal! I started to hear a rattle from somewhere in the rear which sounded like it was in the headliner. So I pulled over in an empty parking lot, ripping the door seals off the door and dropped the headliner down as far as I could to see what was rattling. I didn't know, so I put everything back together and went on my way again, just to do the same old thing 5 mins down the road!

Make a very long story short, I drove over 230 Miles tonight listening for rattling and as soon as I hear one, I pull over in a parking lot, tear the trim peacies out of the door pillers and beat my hand and try to make it dupicate what I hear when I'm driving. I must have pulled over tonight and tore thigns down fixing rattles about AT LEAST 35 times tonight.

the stupid one I was after the most was in the headliner where I kept trying to beat it with my hand but no luck making the noise when I was parked. Turned out after all this time it was the dumb roof rack rails!

who in there right mind drives over 230 miles listening for rattles and then pulls over anywhere and tears things apart? I mean really, what the hell is wrong with me!

Who indeed.

Was there any substances involved tonight?

Since you have a job again, why not stuff a 3000 watt stereo system in there and you won't hear any rattles. Listen to it long enough and you won't hear anything.

on a lighter side, at least now you can tear out the headliner at a pit crew speed.....

Wow...you're crazy....If I couldn't find a rattle, I'd just turn up the radio more.

ha! Your telling me! everything was fine until I started to drop the headliner down to get to the sun roof! by dropping the headliner, I must have moved out of place a lot of wires that run inside the headliner which caused them to rattle all over the place then.

now today I have to clean the headliner since I got a bunch of dirt marks on it from dropping it ten thousand times! lol
