First off, I'd like to congratulate you

Second, I would start simple with the first few mods. Are the windows tinted? How about an upgraded audio unit? Aftermarket grille?

yes the windows are tinted, it has raing guards on the windows, spray on bedliner. i need to get a audio upgrade. thats probably the first thing i will do becuase it has a cassest player in it and that just wont do. and it is a stock grill. so do guys have any price ideas and companies to get a cd player from or any more mods that should be done first.

How about painting the calipers?? I just did that to my Focus, drums too. I used the Duplicolor paint kit (in blue). Turned out awesome..

Oh it was fairly simple... I picked up the kit for $16 at Autozone. Advanced Auto Parts had the kits but not in blue, and for a buck cheaper. I used the stock jack and lug wrench. I took off one wheel at a time, and applied extra coats every 5-10 minutes. The paintbrush that came with the kit only lasted one caliper (junk), so I was forced to find one of my own. I didn't know how to take off the wheels, much less figure out how to get the jack out of the trunk! lol! My dad helped me though and I got the hang of it after the first wheel really. I masked off with tape what I didn't want to get painted, took my time and got dirty. All you need is a jack, lug wrench, and extra paintbrush. Had to use the flashlight for the undersides of the drums since it was kinda hard to see which spots still showed the black through them. While I was at it I cleaned the wheels too, you know how the inside gets real grungy with brake dust that you can hardly reach? Looks good man
