98-03 models?

So what's up with this forum? What is 'other models'? It's in between the pre-97 forum and 04-05 forum so is it just a poorly titled forum for 98-03 pickups?

I guess if you've got a van you start posting in this section, or a ranger, explorer, or escape.

I was thinking the same thing. I just recently joined and wondered what was up with not having a section for 98-03s. I guess it could be titled better.

I see that this forum has all but one specially made truck that Ford built that doesn't have there own title. That truck is the NASCAR special edition truck and thats why i am not on much. That is sad because i actually like this site, and i spend time on the sites that have a place for me to post about my truck.

Don't forget about our STX's either, like the Nascar Truck we are not unique enough for our own Forum.]
Then again, I do know mine is one of 141 built in the configuration that I have, so I know it is unique.

Just start high jacking the 04/05 forum.
Better yet the KR forum will get RP's attention.

and what exactly would you discuss in there?a thread about legroom, a thread about cargo space...

what else is so special about a supercab that it requires a forum of its own?

And you Nascar guys... have fun in there... all 2 of you.

And STX is a trim level. There are no XLT forums. Not a lot of call to discuss that pretty sticker and painted bumpers and features available on millions of F150s that have been made and discussed in other more appropriate forums.

Owning a 2003 Heritage Edition, I know what you mean. It'd be nice, but I'm not sure that there are enough heritage editions out there to warrant our own thread. But maybe all of us with special edition F 150's (NASCAR, STX, Heritage Edition, 50th Anniversary, etc...) could get our own forum and call it "Special Editions". Any thoughts?

there was no Heritage edition in 2003.

It did not appear until 2004 MY. All mechanical aspects of the 2003 fall into the 97-03 that this site is built around (just look at the logo at the top)

People with 97-03... 90% of this site is yours. So you dont have a forum... who cares. The entire site was created just for you.

Christ, talking about shortsightedness.

Uhh, okay...

There were about 15,000 or so of these heritage editions made, they came in black/red, black/tan, or black/silver paint combinations. The whole interior is black with either red, tan, or silver accents on the seats to match the color. They came with the same style steering wheel as in the Lightning, and they came with special badges, chrome steps, and a few other things. Basically, it's a one time package that celebrates the 100 years of Ford. In 2004, they retained the old style for a while, hence the heritage nameplate. I do hope at some point that the 2004/2005 forum gets its share of multiple forums as the one forum it has is growing like crazy. There's nothing shortsightedness about this, they are suggestions.

You are absolutely correct. I forgot about that "special edition" My apologies for the oversight. But then again, it's still a trim package no different than the XTR "special edition" trim package.

Which takes me back to an earlier point... what will all 2 of you discuss in that forum? Your 2-tone paint job? Or the steering wheel thats available in another model (L)... or that fancy badge on the side.

What can you possibly discuss that is not covered by an existing forum?
