Another question about AMP install...

I have a question about AMP installation AGAIN....

2004 STX Heritage - where is the BEST place to run my power wire to the battery at the firewall. I cant seem to find a "rubber plug" to run it, and really dont wanna drill a hole through it.

Any suggestions?

On the driver's side there should be a grommet, about 1 - 1.5 inches across. Just above the steering column if I remember correctly.

You'd better put that wire THROUGH the grommet, instead of around the side of it. Once you put that grommet back in, it's going to rub that wire against that bare edge of metal and cause you all kinds of problems. Once that metal gets through the casing of that wire, you got sparky sparky. Bad joo joo.

Just poke an additional hole through the grommet and run the wire through it. When you do that, check the wire and make sure there hasn't been damage done already.
