What the heck is a Ranger Edge?
I've read very little about them but saw one today and liked it. My wife is looking to replace her 1986 Bronco II (not by choice, by way of cracked head and a little seperation anxiety) and would like any and all opinions!
Ps, she says...not crazy about step/flare sides... she likes the styleside
My influence again, I'm afraid

its an option package that gives a tougher look basically same as any ranger just with more aggressive body lines.
the other neat thing is a 2 wd edge sits up high and has the bigger tires like the 4x4s do (might want to double check this i might be getting my fx4's and edge's crossed up) but im pretty sure fx4 is only a 4x4 option.
the ranger line is a dependable truck think that will have the 4.0L sohc motor in it and 5 spd auto

is there a back seat, a storage area, or zero room behind the back seat?
My wife's 86 EB Bronco II is a super clean little 4x4 and has 175k miles.....with a cracked head or blown head gasket. It's been limping around (gotta drive it like you have an egg between your foot and the gas pedal) for almost a year now. The more gas you give it the slower she goes, almost like a plugged cat.
She is almost ready to conceed not to put $1500 in a $1500 truck but doesn't want anything as big as mine.....kinda wants to stay on the small side. She loves pickups and would be willing to go two wheel drive. The "Edge" seems to be a rare vehicle around here but the one I saw looked like a Ranger on steroids. Think she'd like it.
Thanks again!
Jeff
