I think they are an '03 only so far. Not evey dealer has them. They are hot!!!

 

These vehicles are not produced by Ford Motor Company, they are 5.4 chassis modified by a aftermarket company. Here in Bama they are converted by Southern Comfort . This is the same company that does the van conversions. Besides Ford would not build something that ridiculous looking. They have the real "boss", it says Lighting on the side of the fender.

 

Hey all, im lookin at 2002 #151 in an indisclosed area. i was wonderin if ya'll got any idea how much i should pay for one, at the present time, we gotta deal goin 2700 every 6 months, 12 payments of that...i have no expierience on these specialty vehicles, just wondering what i should pay for a 02 with 8K on the ODO. pretty much flawless, also on insurance, will this be on the same scale as a L? Thanks

 

Just wandering, is the Boss 5.4 all looks or is there anything done to tha motor??? B/c My super crew with a 5.4 with very few mods will hang right beside a Boss with no problem.

A local dealer was peddling those things. They crack me up. All show and no go. Who wants to buy a truck that is supposed to be tricked out just to pull up at a stop light next to a tricked out truck that looks exactly like yours?!

ya'll can say what you like about them, but they ARE nice trucks. I bought mine back in june and wouldn't trade it for anything. i understand the lightning guys don't like it. but it's fine for me. and the other 499 guys that have the 2002 model and the 275 (i think) that have the 2003.

ok, this is the first time i have ever seen these trucks. and i must say i love them!! are there any special engine mods too? or just a $38,000 paint job??? like previously stated, lightning all the way. you could just paint a lightning and get the same result. AND DAMN FORD TO THE ENDS OF HELL FOR TERMINATING LIGHTNING PRODUCTION. i seen a nice concept of an 04 lightning. prolly woulda bought it!!

Yea, production years 2002 and 2003 ARE all show and go. but the 2006 year brings in the truck with a roush supercharger pumping out 460 ponies.

and by the way, just because they came with a stock 5.4 doesn't mean they stay that way. a guy here in albuquerque has one pushing 520hp.

so just be careful who you pull up next to lol
