Post Mirror Shake& Wind Noise NTSB Bulletins

Check out the NHTSA site. They list two bulletins for the mirror shakes and the wind noise. Thought I'd pass it along and it's the last two on the 1999 Ford F150 list. http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/proble...ervicemmy1.cfm

KKirt, Good question..I called my dealer along with two others to see if the could use the NHTSA # to ref a Ford TSB...All said no luck ?? Could anybody shed light on the NHTSA sight and how/when Ford would issue their TSB as a result of the NHTSA finding? The only TSB (Ford) that one service guy located was about the mirror shakes but it stated the fix was to remove your bug shield. Apparently Ford feels that is what causes their mirrors to vibrate. Pretty lame excuse.

Stihl. It would be interesting to see if Ford would buyback the bug shield their dealership installed.

Doubt it!

Where can we get a copy of the solution? I am in the middle of trying everything. Still nothing is working and I don't want to shell out the dough for the dealer to look at it.
