Question Steering noise

I am getting some hydrolic noise when barily turning the steering wheel (like passing a car on the hiway). I can understand the hydrolic noise when the wheel is fully turned to the right or left, but passing a car?? I hear the noise everytime I make a turn. Ford told me that the noise is just passing hydrolic fluid and is normal. Before I bought this 97 F150, I tried six other trucks and none had this noise. I don't think this is normal. I still have some warranty left (3000 miles) and will probably have to take this claim higher up. Does anybody have any ideas??
