Harley F-150 or Lightning front bumper swap
The lower half of the front bumper on the '99 & '00 F-150's could use a little help in the style deparment. On my black Sport, that plain gray......I'm sorry, Argent......plastic stands out like a sore thumb. Has anyone thought about or tried swapping the whole thing for the Lightning front bumper. I also like the looks of the new Harley F-150 front bumper as well(minus the billet insert). It seems as though you could just swap out the lower half under the steel section for this swap. Any ideas, costs?

Selva1....Boy you just can't leave well enough alone! Just kidding. How about painting the lower piece black/clearcoat to match the truck. Use flex additive to keep the paint from cracking. I was thinking of doing mine. You go first, that way I can see what it looks like when you post a picture....smile.
By the way...how about posting a picture of your tonneau so I can see what it looks like, I'm still looking for one I like.

I have a problem with the plastic stuff.
I got some dark gray and some black. My front air dam is dark gray but the bumper pad on top is black. My bed rails and rear window trim is dark gray and the bed steps and rear bumper pad is black. Come on Ford you can do better.

SPORT 2000:
I thought you might eventually find this thread! Your painting idea is a good one, and probably the cheapest way to go. I did just that on my last truck, a Ranger, and it worked pretty well. But the ranger had factory foglights, whereas our SPORTS don't. I'd kind of like some......By the way, I'm still waiting to see pics of your Belltech job. How's that going? Keep us posted. Here's a couple of pics of my lid. I apologize for the size of the images, but I don't know how to scale them down yet.

Hey Caddpro,I had the same problem with my 2000 Lariat, gray trim around the top of the bed, honeycomb grill, and the bottom piece under the front bumper.
I went up to the Ford dealer where I bought it and complained to the body shop mgr and he gave me 3 cans of Crest trim coat spray. I believe this is what all Ford body shops use, what I was given is AT-2 Satin Black and now all of my trim is satin black, it makes a whole difference in looks, and the paint dries fast.
So check it out, try our local Ford shop and see, they use it on everything, all the guys in the shop swear by it..Good Luck

Selva1...My sway bars came in and the local distributor for Belltech delivered what was supposed to be everything to lower my truck, but the rear hangers and shackles weren't there. Now I'm delayed waiting on those parts. I'll post photos after it's lowered, hopefully within a couple weeks. By the way, why not buy a 4X4 lower front air dam, install the factory fog lights, and paint the air dam black/clearcoat. You could even install the front pull hooks and confuse everyone, they'll think you have a lowered 4X4 when you install the Belltech 3/4 kit.
