Leak inside cab at back window

'99 XCab. Went out to the truck today and saw water dripping from the ceiling liner onto the back seat. Whats that all about? And whats the fix?

Very common problem with these 97 and newer F150's. Kind p*sses me off that ford did not fix the problem earlier. Seems to be the rear sliders leak more often than the solid rear windows. I also had the rear window leak (sold a Camaro with leaky T-tops and thought I could get a water tight vehicle!). My fix was to silicon the upper part of the window fram and seal and paint the silicone black while I was painting my rear window trim.

well if you have a slider..you can look at the top of each side of the ceter section and find a crack from the frame flexing i guess..since i have a 97 the dealer said my frame is made out of hard plastic and the newer ones are more rubbery...so my whole window would have to be replaced..but it seems the problem persits with the new ones so i told them to suck an exhaut pipe...silicone works for now....

Wink

Had the same problem with my 97 Extra-cab sliding window.
Solved it by replacing the window for a cost of $211.00. No problems since. I am now very happy.
