Anyone know the production numbers on a 99 NASCAR edition?
I just purchased a brand new 99 F150 this past Saturday. It is a 2WD Supercab, black in color w/ thick yellow pinstripes down each side that run into a NASCAR sticker. The tailgate has a NASCAR badge under the FORD badge. The seats have NASCAR sewn into the headrests. This truck also has the 5.4L and the 17 inch rims (silver). I thought I heard that only 4X4's come with the 17's? Anyway...the truck is nice and I've never seen another 99 NASCAR edition. This one doesn't look quite like the 97-98 NASCAR editions, but I'm wondering if it's just as rare? Anyone know the nitty gritty? Thanks a million.

To my knowledge thr 99 NASCAR trucks are not limited editions. It is an option you can put on any late year '99 F-150 (2000?). It is an appearance pkg to commemorate Ford being the official truck of NASCAR. Unlike the '98 NASCAR trucks limited to 1500 I believe. It was a lowered 4X2 reg cab black only. Special wheels and tires, Rousch exhaust tips, NASCAR embroidered seats. My local dealer has a red 4X4 sc NASCAR pkg. Looks cool.

All that JA_Stang86 said is true except that they made 3000 with various config. Ie: Standard, automatic, 6 & 8 cyl. The rarest are the ones (only 300 made) that were actually used by Nascar which can be recognized by looking to see if they have a transmission cooler, draw bar hitch welded to frame, left side exaust (think about it), computer with perfectly clean contacts, (just waiting for a chip), automatic, and sold as new with no MSRP sticker. But a piece of paper saying how the milage on the truck (usually about 350) was put on by a test driver is a must. Also they had a really cool soft bed cover with the Nascar logo.
