Bug Guard and 4x4 decals

Thinking of replacing my bug guard as well. As you have seen from my other posts, I just bought a used F150 so bear with me on all my questions!

What brand of Bug Guard do you prefer? How much do they cost? Or should I go without a bug guard completely? I live in the south where we have quite a number of bugs...and I'm not sure how well these guards actually work.

Thanks again guys!

Scott

Edit: In the intrest of not flooding the forum with seperate posts, I am also interested in the 4x4 decals. This truck doesn't have them. Where can i find the 4x4 decals for a 1999 F150 4x4 XLT? There are several different 4x4 decal styles...and I wasn't sure which one went with the 1999 XLT. Thanks for your help!

Bug guards are kinda like step bars - ask away and be prepared for a bunch of answers! (Although I don't think there are as many guards to choose from.) I have the Bugflector II from Auto Vent Shade, and am please with the way it fits/looks. Don't know as much about the models for the 150 - but there again - browse the owner galleries.

As far as the 4x4 decals go - check with your dealer parts department if you want OEM. If you don't care about OEM - just about any offroad dealer will be able to get you any number of styles.

If you like the looks of a bug deflector then by all means go for it. I have a Bugflector ll and am happy with it.

As for the stickers, you might want to give a look around at ebay...

I have a LUND brand interceptor and am very pleased. LUND has alot of different styles to choose from. They also have a great reputation.

Go to truckaddons.com or autoaccessory.com, they both have a good selection and good prices.

I currently have a Lund Interceptor and am very happy with it. Very easy to install (no drilling, uses existing holes in the underside hood) and it does not rub the paint anywhere on the hood. I have only used Lund products on my current and previous trucks. They last, no breaking or fading.
