Question Body Side Moldings

I am not sure why but Ford doesnot put the body side moldings on the Flairside's. I have looked at the Styleside 99's and the molding is only on the door and supercab. So again don't know why they wouldn't put it on the flairside's. Anyway has anyone with a flairside added the molding?? What is the cost??

Thanks!!

Red face

I've never seen any moldings for a flairside. The main reason I added nerfs was to keep other peoples doors out of my side.

Cheese'd,

WOW!! Check my signature! I just added the moldings and they look great. I still park the truck in very selective parking spots. What I ordered was the moldings for XLT SC for doors only. Make sure the moldings for the back doors have a rounded end on the end closes to the bed. They make the moldings for the bed section of the Stylside. Bought all four moldings for less $100. They are attached with 3M tape and boy do they stick. Hope this helps.

Tina, I just like that pic of the F-18. However I plan on replacing it with a nicer pic of an F-150 (in particular mine). But that will have to wait until after I get a digital camera. No, the "mohawk" phase was many years ago, and never again. Thanks for the compliment on the site and truck.

My only guess is Ford figured that the body side moldings didn't match the styling of the flareside. If someone has added them to a flareside I'd be interested in hearing about it too. I would consider it myself.

chees'd
I put the mouldings on my 99 as soon as i got it, they look great, like factory. They cost me @ $120 from ford. My last truck a 97 flareside recieved a nice dent on the crease by some thoughtful, careless person. It was removed by Dent-x without a trace thankfully. So far dent-free. If you want to see a picture let me know.

Cheese'd,

The molding part numbers are:

XL3Z1520878AAJ
XL3Z1520879AAJ
XL3Z1825532AAJ
XL3Z1825533AAJ

But remember, they are prepainted. So the numbers I've given you are for white.

GinoF150: You can certainly send me a picture at jeffcheese@hotmail.com - but it would be better if you posted it here for all interested to see. Check out this tread https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/000014.html it explains how to post pictures.

Thanks!!

I was thinking about someone reading this topic who owned a 99 work model or XL styleside and was considering adding bodyside molding. They would get more molding by ordering parts for a 97 or 98 since Ford shortened the molding in 99 to just cover the door.
