I did the swap. You need the bumper cover, fog lights, lower grille insert, and there are 4 brackets that go behind the bumper cover. Try www.fordpartsonline.com. Call them and talk with Gary. He will know everything you need off the top of his head.

Here are some pics of my swap.

GA Southern Eagle,

When you did the swap, did you change out the front trim as well ?
I don't know if that is the correct term or not, I am talking about the trim piece around the headlights and grille.

I noticed the chrome glamor caps on the side mirrors, or did you change the glamor cap to chrome ?

My Screw has the chrome surrond on the front with the 'egg crate' gille, and I was thinking of doing the change to match the silver and the L grille.

If you did do the swap, how bad was it ? I looked over the Sylvania HID swap directions, and it does not look too bad to get the headlights out, the side lights are not a problme, already had those out. I just don't recall how much was holding on that trim piece.

Thanks, and Acsii sorry to hijack your thread for a moment.

I found the grille surround on Ebay. I am still waiting to change out the mirrior caps. There are about 10 screws that hold the surround on. You can do the swap of the trim piece in about 30 min.

Did you call Fordpartonline and ask Gary ?

I have seen in other posts that he knows this cold ( as least that is what my memory is telling me ).

Ifyou call and ask, I am sure that they can give you the p/n for the stock lights.

I have seen in a post under group purchases, that some use the PIAA lights, either the 510 or 520, I don't recall which one.

I Don't know if I can find it easy, but I have the 2001 wiring diagram for the F-150, if that is your year I can take a look for the stock wiring colors.

I don't have the L airdam, but the PIAA and I just used the PIAA wiring and relay set up 100%,I like the PIAA switched better, even though they are not cut into the dash.

Just a thought on the matter.

I am going to try to give them a call today about the L grille myself.
