Door Crack

MY 98 F-150 has 118,00 miles and I was wondering what the dealership would do or say if I tried to get them to fix it. Thanks

My 97 has 118,000 miles, too, and I can't even get them to talk about it other than saying that Ford hasn't told them anything. They admit it's a problem, but they won't make it their problem. Good luck, take a TSB, point out that the used trucks on the lot have them, too, maybe you will have some luck. Oh yeah, call Ford's customer service hotline and complain, too.

you are out-of-luck. At this mileage, they would only fix recall items. A lot of safety related items, they would still claim wear and tear and insist you pay for it (ie airbags, seatbelts etc)

Now the Ford hotline offered me an 80/20% fix, where I pay 20% of the fix, but I haven't spoken to my dealer about this. Best I can remember, we decided that almost everyone who complained enough at least got the 80/20, but a lot of us decided that not even 20% of it was our fault, so we held out to see if we could do better. Call Ford and see what you can work out with them.

Any other suggestions?

I have the cracks on both my front doors. I just finished talking to Ford Customer Service (what a joke), they told me this wasn't considered a problem by them and that there was absolutely nothing they would do. They also went as far as to say that the articles I've read about the problem on the internet aren't correct, and its not a problem experienced by enough people to be looked at by Ford.

Ok I cant get a good pic or clear answer on where these cracks are. I have a small crack at the bottom of my window at the corner drivers side. It cracked straight out with the bottom of the window towards the rear about 1cm not too bad but i notice it. Is this the crack we all know and love or are yours somehwere else. I saw one pic looked like it was on the b pillar. I would like to know where these things are.
