I was told that the dome light wire runs on the passager side under the plastic molding in the floor where you step into the truck. How do I get the moldings off? I see no screws and I have tried to gently pull the up no they don't give.

 

Grab hold at either end and pull upward hard. It takes a bit of force to release them at least on my rig.

They just snap in. Like Jim said, pull up hard. When you replace them, pound them in with a fist.
