Looking for a '99 Black grill

I have an ugly grey grill on my ''99 Lariat. I wanted to replace it with the black one found on EVERY other F150 made (except mine). Ford sell the whole surround/grill combo only (too expensive). Anyone know where I can just get the grill piece, new? I don't want to go through junkyards just yet. And, I actually don't like the look of a billet grill. Thanks.

I had the same one on my 99 XLT 4x4 I had before my Lightning. Look on Ebay. There was a conversion place that had them on there, I think there were $50 or so, much cheaper than Ford.

Black Grille

Hey Linetest,

If you're still looking for a grille, I think I have what you're looking for. I'm finishing a 2000 F150 S/C 4x4 that I bought as a "builder". I had to repair frontend damage and just like you said, the grille comes as a complete unit. My grille itself is perfect, but the surround was busted on the driver side. I already bought my complete unit, so if you're still looking, let me know.

email me at

and let me know how much you're looking to sell it for, and shipping.
Thanks!

I was under the impression that the '97/'98 grilles were different (mount wise) than the '99 and up. Can someone correct me?
