Calling S-76
Hey S-76,
Started a new thread to make sure you see this message.
Regarding the Leer lid discussion, you DO NOT need to drill. Get a friend to hold the lid up at least 45 degrees or more. This will let you have a good look at the front channel/rail that the lid hinge goes in to. A screwdriver is all you need to put a screw in to the centre (sorry Canadian spelling) of that channel/rail.
Another thought came to me, my lid frame has a second set of ball pins halfway up the bed rail frame. The struts are removed from the ball pins closest to the tailgate and attached to the pins further up. This is for holding the lid at greater than 45 for service and maintenance. You can do this if no one is available to help hold it up.

Hey...thanks again. I plan to take a look at this week end. I can't visualize what you are telling me, but once I get in there I'm sure I'll see it. Thanks for the tip, I'll let you know how it went. It's time to adjust it again anyway....
