Canadians with any luck on door crack

I'm looking to hear from any Canadians that managed to get any success dealing with ford on the door crack issue. I own 97 S/C 4x4 XL 60000KMS second owner. After several calls to Ford and a couple of visits to a local dealer I have not heard anything. This all started in March. My last visit to the dealer was in June when the bodyshop manager filled out a work order. I called him in August and his response was " I have just started recieving some of the parts for the fix, I'll submit your problem to Ford to see if there will be a customer participation on this repair. First off, it was obvious he forgot about my repairs for two months and secondly I don't think there should be any "Customer participation" to fix and obvious defect, ford should be covering it all. Has anyone taken Ford to small claims court to recover all costs as recommended by Phil Edmonston on his Lemon-aid web site?

Thumbs up

I got mine done at Campbell Ford in Ottawa. They did the crack repairs on both doors and fixed the hem flange rust on the doors and tailgate. I would recommend talking to Steve
Flood if you go there for repairs because he sure went the extra mile for me when I had a few hiccups during the repairs. My truck was within factory warranty and didn't cost me a cent.

I had no big problems with getting the door crack fixed. It took at least a month to get the parts, but they fixed it, and the rust on the bottom edges of the doors & tailgate.
