Angry Control Arm Dust/Splash Guards

Ford and the cost savings better ideas. I just retired my 2002 F-150 and replaced it with a 2013 STX. The first thing I noticed is no Control Arm shields in the front fenders, so mud and crap gets up on the engine. I am going to add some, I can get up to 2003 series for after market. Or just order material and custom make. Anyone else deal with this?

No clue what you're talking about. There are so many open areas and gaps that I'm not sure that would do much.

This is what they look like, many designs through many years. I have a plan now to resolve, the Lariat model in 2013 had them.

I will just modify similar pattern. This is enough protection to keep the mud from reaching the valve covers.
