Can you get that factory soft tonneau cover on the internet..

I would rather just buy it offline rather than ride all they way to a dealership. Anyone know of a place please post it. Thanks

tonneau

Check out www.undercoverinfo.com they are very cool and lower price than the other hard tonneaus. Email from the site and Ray will get back with you. I have been researching for a tonneau that I can customize and this one is it. Hell, the owner called me to help with custom ideas. Great people. Great product. I can't wait to get mine.

Thumbs up

I just purchased a hard tonnaeu cover from Leer. The same guys that make the truck caps. I am really impressed with this top, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it.

It's called the 200 series, it's got a real low profile look, and the top itself is like a plastic laminate fibergalss. All steel frame construction, has gas prop shocks, and it locks. And you can remove it if need be. It weighs in between 50-60lbs. Pretty sweet top. Go check it out. www.leer.com.

Just my two cents.

Leer Hard Cover

Hey JDNIGHTHAWK

I just bought a 1999 F150 XLT ( 4.6L) and ordered the
LEER 700 series cover and am wondering how well the colour match is on these products? I found it pretty expensive at
$1000 CND. but was told there are very well made?
This is my first Ford truck and I am looking forward to picking it up next week. I really like this forum and expect to spend a fair bit of time here in the future. I plan on adding some more custom
features as soon as I get it. Anyone try the bedrug boxliner?
This is the next thing I will be adding?

P.S. My truck is Black!

Guess I might just as well add my two cents here. If it's a hard tonneau you're after, I'd recommend the A.R.E. LSII. It's top notch. Pics at:

Good Luck

I've got the Ford Snapless Tonneau & have the curling corners. They never sat quite right from day one. As of late, they're curling up a little more.

I'll be picking up my new truck in a few days & this one's getting an Extang snapless.

I like the Daws Better Built diamond plate tonneau. (I have one, along with a Daws toolbox) I also LOVE the ******* X-2000.

The Extang Tuff Tonno III finally arrived & went on like a charm. No drilling & a good fit. I've seen a few other Ford covers in the meantime. Almost all of them have the curling corners. BTW... Cost of the Extang was $210 + 5 or 6 bucks handling fee. Not bad at all.

After all this time I still like my Le Bra brand snap soft cover. It's been on the truck for over 1 1/2 years and no prblems yet. I wish it came with tthe adjustable snaps and while you could turn them over and slide them on to adjust it's not made to do that with. I hardly ever remove mine so I'm not worried to much about easy of removal and reinstall. I've taken good care of it and it still looks almost brand new. Very little flapping even at 100 mph.

Got it at Advance Auto for like $198. They also carry a snapless, a low profile, and a liftable soft cover from Le Bra and can also get some from Lund.

I had a sportmasters slantside on my last truck for over 8years in the tuff Wisconsin weather and it still looked like new. However I would like something that locks on my new one. I do take off and put the cover on a lot and dont want anything to heavy... want to do it on my own. I have come up with 2 covers. One is the Access cover and the other is the Undercover . My main question is has anyone used the Undercover in a snowy area and how are they? I know the Access are good covers but they can be cut into were the Undercovers cant. Any input is welcome.

Thanks
Carmmond

Thumbs up Advance Cover

I just installed the Advance Cover on my 2002 Supercab Flareside. It installs very easy. Offers security of a hard cover and portability of a soft. One person can completely remove it in a few minutes, but it's lockable when closed. Gained alot of info from these forums and websites advancecover.com or distributor's web site kcovers.com
