Bed swap

Bed on my 2000 F150 extended cab very rusty. Will any newer model f150 bed or F250 beds fit with no,or minor modifications.

I would think any 97-03 bed off a standard or extended cab F-150 would work as long as it's the same length.

Agreed. That's the conclusion I've come to after reading over a few bed swaps.

Bed swap.

I kind of figured those would fit. Don't know if I would have much luck finding one here in IL in good condition . That's why I was wondering if newer body style beds would work. I was also wondering if F250 bed would work since a lot of those get removed to put utility beds on.

Nope, neither of those would work unless you can find a 97 or 98 F-250 LD (light duty) which is the same body style as what you have.

I know at least a few folks have shopped for rust-free southern beds and had them sent up.

Lockjaw88autotech (probably not right, but try Googling?) purchased and installed a southern bed on his project 97-03 if I remember correctly, so maybe send him a message.
