Angry tailgate

Any one know where I can get a replacment tailgate in the San antonio area, other than the dealer? or on the net?
My tailgate was just stolen in the parking lot here at work a few hours ago. The one time I leave it unlocked from the weekend, and look what happens.
What sucks is that I have a cherry to black fade paint job. That's going to be a real chore to find someone who can match it.

JCwhitney has them pretty cheap, they will mail it to you within 3 or 4 days. The strange thing is they sent my tailgate US Mail instead of UPS, my mailman was pissed! BTW, as a special feature JCWhitney tailgates come pre dented, but for the price i can't complain.

Question

jpkaiser---Do you have a picture of your paint job? I'd love to see it.

The insurance estimate to replace and paint the new tailgate is $ 1750.00. That's crazy.
Fortunately, I only have a $100 deductible, but hate that I have to make a claim.

Gas mileage with out tailgate

By the way, I have also found that since the tailgate was stolen,
my gas mileage sucks.
I always get over 300MPG with every tank. Now that the tailgate is gone, I get less than 275MPG.

I always thought it would be more beneficial with out the tailgate.
I guess not!!

I won't have the truck repairerd until Sept 24th.

I will miss my truck while it's at the body shop, I'm sure Insurance will only cover a Geo metro or something like that.
