power door locks

I have a '99 with 185k, and several years ago my power door locks quit working. They still click and make a little noise but do not move. Do the actuators in both doors just need to be replaced or what other option would I have? Thanks.

Never worked on Ford power locks but if they're clicking then it sounds like the actuators are working. My guess is that the mechanism is binding. I'd pull the door skins and see whats going on. Cleaning and lubing will probably fix the problem IMO.

Hello

There are little clips that hold the rod to the actuator sometimes they brake & may just came undone if you take the door panel off you should see what the problem is there just plastic clips
